Why it qualifies
Smokey & the Bandit fame. SD-455 (1973-1974) is the muscle-era halo. Late-70s 6.6L (T/A 6.6) is iconic for shaker hood and screaming chicken decal. Pre-1975 is the muscle era; 1976-81 is malaise but still characterful.
Watch out for
- Rust in floor pans, rear quarters, trunk
- SD-455 authenticity (only ~1,300 built)
- Bird decal originality matters for resale
